Crispy Rock Sole Fillets
Catching area
Since the Pacific Ocean is far from the Netherlands we have to import our rock sole from China. First the fish is caught by trawlers from the United States or Russia and afterwards it is brought to China where they process the fish. When the rock sole fillets are processed they will be transported to our company in the Netherlands.
Since our crispy Pacific plaice fillets are breaded, most of the taste come from the bread crumbs. However, inside this breaded crust you can still taste the mild and slightly sweet flavour of the rock sole. One hundred grams of our crispy Pacific plaice fillets contain around 220 calories. They also contain some carbohydrates because of the bread crumbs. Crispy Pacific plaice fillets also contain some B vitamins and a lot of protein since it is a fish product after all.
We mainly export our crispy Pacific plaice fillets to Germany. However, it is actually popular in a lot of countries. There are a lot of ways to eat breaded rock sole fillets. The most common way is to eat them as fish and chips with mushy peas as a side dish. But you can serve the breaded fillets with a other vegetables or a salad too. Another way to serve the fillets is to serve them with lemon wedges and a sauce, such as tartar sauce. This will make the dish even more delicious than it already is!
