Crunchy Redfish Fillets

Redfish is a common name for the deep-sea genus Sebastes. We have two kinds of redfish available. The first one is the Sebastes Marinus, which is also known as Sebastes Norvegicus or rose fish. The second one is the Sebastes Mentella, which is also known as the deepwater redfish. We use the Sebastes Marinus for our crunchy redfish fillets.

Catching area

The rose fish can be found in the north of the Atlantic Ocean.

However, we also import some of our redfish from China. Nevertheless, we can still guarantee that our redfish will be fresh since our imported fish is directly bought from fish farms of which we know the suppliers personally. We also invest continually in the latest technology, so we batter the redfish ourselves in our own advanced production line. As a supplier we sell our crunchy redfish fillets skinless, single, battered and pre-fried. We also have redfish fillets from the Netherlands available at our ‘North Sea Fish’-page, redfish fillets from China at our ‘Fish Worldwide’-page and crispy redfish fillets at our ‘Added Value’-page.

The taste of crunchy redfish fillets are first dominated by the taste of the battering. But within the crust you can still taste the delicious, sweet and mild flavour of the redfish. One hundred grams of the fillets contain around 184 calories. Crunchy redfish fillets also contain some carbohydrates because of the battering. They also contain some fat, which is mainly monounsaturated fat. This fat is considered to be healthier than other fats since they reduce blood cholesterol levels. In addition, our crunchy redfish fillets are also a good source of protein, just like every fish.

We export our crunchy redfish fillets mainly to the catering industry and several retailers in Germany, Spain and Italy. However, you can also find the battered fillets in a lot of other countries. The crunchy redfish fillets can be eaten with chips as a fish and chips dish, but most people prefer to serve it with a sauce or with lemon or lime wedges. You can also eat the fillets with vegetables or rice, which makes it not only delicious but healthy as well.
