Fish fries
Catching area
We have fish fries available which are made of the cod, haddock, Alaska pollock or plaice. The type of fish that we use for our delicious fish fries depends on the demand of our customers. Since we are not able to catch all the types of fish that are used in our fish fries ourselves we have to import some of them from other countries.
Fish is an excellent source of protein and vitamins, which is why our fish fries contain a lot of proteins and several B vitamins. But nevertheless the amount of proteins, calories and vitamins depends on the type of fish that is used for our fish fries. Since fish fries are breaded they contain some carbohydrates too. However, you should not consider this as a bad thing since carbohydrates are one of the main sources of energy for our bodies. Fish fries are long and thin pieces of breaded fish, which means that most of the taste come from the breading. This is one of the reasons why fish fries are loved by so many people, even by the ones who do not like fish that much.
We mainly sell our fish fries to the Netherlands, where the fries are also known as ‘visfriet’. However, fish fries and fish sticks are actually eaten all over the world. These delicious pieces of breaded fish are eaten by young people as well as older ones. Fish fries are usually eaten with a sauce. Some sauces that are often served with the fries are garlic sauce, tartar sauce or sauce ravigote. Fish fries can also be served with a salad or with lemon wedges. However, you should not serve the fries with too much food as a side dish if you eat more servings since they you can fill you up really easily.
